Robert Jones (formerly the Music Director/Keyboardist) for the legendary Funk Brother from 2005 - 2011 is still very active in the music community with his New EP Released in December 2019 titled "A Robert Jones Christmas". Robert started studying classical music with Authur La Brew at the age of 8 yrs old and started teaching himself R&B and Jazz at the age of 13. By the time he reached the age of 14 years old he was performing with other musicians and bands.
At the age of 17 Robert played upright Bass with a Jazz band at Shaw College and he played electric bass with a blues band for a year. In the early 70's he played keyboards with a band called The Organization and they recorded a 45 called "Dreamgivers" and he also worked with groups such as Chapter 8 and Brainstorm.
In the 80's he worked with entertainers such as, The Platters, Drifters, Coasters, Contours, Shireles and Little Anthony just to name a few. In the 90's he traveled with Dennis Edwards (formerly of the Temptations) and also did a tour for the Department of Defense from Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Italy, Greece and Spain with Spice & The Monster Band
